Although the hotel I am staying in is technically in Wiesbaden (the capital of Hessen), it is quite a distance from Wiesbaden City Centre – and only 1km or so from Mainz City Centre.<\/p>\n

The fact that I am so close in to Mainz City Centre means I’ve driven further in to Mainz than I have ever done to London!<\/p>\n

After settling in to my room I went for a walk in to Mainz – crossing the bridge over the river, which marks the border between Rheinland-Pfalz and Hessen.<\/p>\n
