Spent the morning in Cologne. After I left the hotel I went for a walk in the City Centre and I climbed the bell tower. Rounded off the morning with a drink at the Funkhaus Café.

What an interesting (but tiring) weekend! I spent most of the weekend in the car, driving a total of 897.6 miles – the distance Germany and back – in the space of 3 days. It was all worth it, for the concert I went to – taking the rest of the family with me. Weiterlesen
Before leaving Germany, I drove for an hour (further away from the border) back to Brühl, to visit the bits I missed there on Sunday.
Drove up to the Dreiländereck – the point where the German, Dutch and Belgian borders meet. The point is not far from the German town of Aachen, and the Dutch town of Vaals.
After checking out of my hotel in Aachen, I drove back to Brühl to visit the Augustusburg Palace, which I missed on Sunday. Did a guided tour of the palace and walked around the gardens.
